Quite frankly, I don’t know how I would run my business without using Excel and its Mac counterpart Numbers. Both of them are spreadsheet applications that let you do just about any cataloging chore from tracking your ezine emails, articles (like this one) posted on your blog, to actually making numerical spread sheets.

Except most folks won’t use them.

“Too hard.” “I don’t know how.” “I don’t do numbers.”

The excuses are rampant.

Time to put the excuses aside and figure it out.  Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.

Especially when you can easily find great tips about how to make spreadsheets from lots of other people who use them all the time.

Just search the web.

It only took a moment to find this great post from dailyblogtips.com. All about 4 Excel formulas every blogger should know. Be sure to click on the link to go on over to see the article.

Then take a long hard look at his blog.

One of the reasons I choose this blog to use as an example is how much information Daniel has on every page of his site. Especially on this page. You will find 72 tutorials from other bloggers about how to do just about anything and everything with your blog. (And some good laughs too.)

And get some great tutorials on other topics too. Like making a great self portrait in your newly knitted sweater or how to drain and flush your hot water heater to extend its life.

(There is also a tutorial on Possessive vs. Plural: Getting it Right. The hot water heater needed its. Not it’s.)

So, get busy learning more about how to use spreadsheets and lots of other things you can do both on and for your blog to make it more profitable and easier to use.
